The newest version of Lortug is available at http://lortug.sourceforge.net . Installation follows the usual GNU method: ./configure, make, make install. The last step will most likely require you to have root access to the machine. This should work on most platforms. Read INSTALL in the top level directory of the distribution for information about configuration options and possible work-arounds for problem platforms.
In addition to compiling the lortug executable the above sequence will also copy this document to (prefix)/share/Lortug/doc and some sample scripts to (prefix)/share/Lortug/samples. (prefix) is the installation prefix given to configure using the --prefix command line option (it defaults to /usr/local).
